SCHEDULE: 7:00AM-7:00PM/7:00PM-7:00AM (Rotating, 2-2-3 schedule)
LOCATION: 1137 Branchton Road, Boyers, PA 16020
Based in Boyers, Pennsylvania, the Construction Technician is responsible for executing a variety of technical trades at Iron Mountain’s underground facility in Boyers, PA. The incumbent will take primary direction from the Manager, Facilities and Construction and the Construction Section Leads in the execution of multiple technical trades. The incumbent will be directly responsible to perform all required technical tasks and adherence to all safety requirements and regulations. Works alone or as part of a team renovating existing developed space and creating newly developed space.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Roof Bolting, Drilling and Splitting Stone
All Stone supplemental support hardware (straps, mats, bolts, pans etc)
Excavation, rigging, set steel and support Structure
Basic electrical, single phase and three phase systems
Fans and Blowers
Dampers and Ductwork
HVAC monitoring and control systems.
Plumbing and piping systems
Masonry/ Repair and finishing of concrete
High School Diploma or equivalent is required, Associates/technical degree in Industrial Technology or Trade is preferred.
At least 3 years work experience
Job / Physical Requirements/Qualifications:
Lifting, moving, pushing and pulling equipment (cases, metal containers or boxes) in excess amount of 30 to 40 lbs.
Safe operation of equipment such as, skid loader, bucket loader, excavator, jack hammer fork lifts, telescoping/articulated lifts, platform lifts, forklifts, telescoping lifts, dump truck and fire engine
Job requires both interior and exterior operations
Bending and Walking.
Minimal travel (less than 10% a year)
Willing and able to work overtime as required.
Must be on call 24/7
Must have valid driver’s license
Must be an expert on OSHA rules and regulations as it pertains to electrical and power generation safe work practices.
Basic knowledge of fundamental mechanical, electrical, carpentry, plumbing, or heating and cooling skills in performing assignments.
Ability to read and edit design drawings and schematics
Use of a computer operating basic Windows and Microsoft Office software
