The Job

As the Supervisor of Operation Support, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing multiple operational teams within our organisation. Your primary focus will be on ensuring efficient and effective day-to-day operations, optimising processes, and driving performance improvements across various departments. This is a critical leadership role that requires exceptional organisational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.

The Responsibilities

Team Management:

  • Lead, inspire, and manage a team of operations professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and support

  • Foster a positive work environment that promotes collaboration, productivity, and employee development

  • Set clear performance expectations, monitor progress, and provide regular feedback to team members

Operational Efficiency:

  • Develop and implement strategies to optimise operational processes, streamline workflows, and enhance productivity

  • Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to drive efficiency and reduce operational costs

  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, internal policies, and procedures

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the performance of operational teams

  • Regularly analyse operational metrics and generate reports to assess performance, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations

  • Present findings and recommendations to senior management for informed decision-making

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with other departments, such as Risk Management, Compliance, and Customer Service, to ensure seamless operations and alignment of objectives

  • Act as a liaison between operational teams and senior management, effectively communicating goals, challenges, and progress

Continuous Improvement:

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging innovation, soliciting feedback, and implementing best practices

  • Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes to proactively adapt and enhance operational processes

The Person

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field

  • Master's degree preferred

  • Proven experience (2-3 years) in operations management

  • Strong knowledge of banking operations, including transaction processing, account management, and regulatory compliance

  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

  • Proficiency in using various software applications and tools for data analysis, reporting, and project management
