We aim to be the primary service provider for the people and entities responsible for the care, movement, and long-term preservation of art and culture.
To that end, our Dock Coordinators are responsible for ensuring the safety, security, and integrity of all works, artifacts, and collections from museums across the world, regional art galleries, and private venues while in the care of Crozier Fine Arts. In addition to physical requirements, this role also provides knowledge and coordination with the transportation and art handling teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Support driving teams in the properly loading and unloading of trucks, inclusive of artwork and other related materials
Track and process paperwork, including bills of loading of jobs and storage account information
Process all incoming orders including, scanning bar codes and locations, storing art items in proper storage locations, downloading scanned information, investigating, and resolving all exceptions and closing out of warehouse tasks, ensuring standard operating procedures and processes are executed with clear and accurate information
Maintain dock cleanliness and check materials and equipment to ensure proper operation
Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned
Ensure all safety procedures are followed and report safety issues
Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures while complying with company policies
Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
3-5 years of warehouse experience, forklift certification a plus
Experience in Art Handling preferred, but willing to train accordingly
Operational knowledge of various tools and equipment, i.e. dollies, jay bar and hydraulic lifts
Skills: Strong Communication, Attention to Detail, Problem Solver, Customer Service Skills
Willing and able to coordinate work from intakes/releases, scheduled and unscheduled
Technology - Microsoft and Google bases Systems knowledge required
Must be able to handle physical work, including lifting/carrying an average of 40 pounds
Flexible schedule/ability to work overtime as needed
