Iron Mountain Manager, Continuous Improvement Consumer in North Bergen, New Jersey

Primary day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • The Manager will lead and/or support Consumer Storage optimization initiatives and projects while providing leadership to and driving behaviors of Managers, Supervisors and their teams. Particularly initiatives centered on driving process improvements, productivity enhancements, technology roadmap deployment, coaching and technological efficiencies.

  • Lead the exceptions team across all markets to resolve customer issues and engage closely with MakeSpace Customer Support teams to ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Identify and quantify any recurring Ops issues; ensuring they are flagged to the appropriate managers and, when necessary, to Consumer Leadership Team

  • Initiate, implement and lead the field/warehouse operations efforts to improve and sustain quality standards and improvement culture across all team members

  • Perform and report frequent warehouse process audits and drive improvement through writing and deploying SOP’s along with OPS

  • Ensure the region’s quality and OEP metrics are meeting the organizational objectives through corrective actions and improvement initiatives.

  • Ability to apply decisions, and to think in broad terms, considering the impact of decisions across the entire company.

  • provide necessary leadership and focus for consistent and efficient operational execution across Consumer Storage Operations. Ability to interact effectively at all levels within the Iron Mountain Enterprise.


  • Minimum 5 years’ experience implementing process improvement projects in a matrix environment with quantifiable results.

  • Familiarity with process design concepts, root cause analysis, six sigma, and any other process control education.

  • Strong analytical skills, practical problem resolution, judgment and decision making skills required.

  • Excellent communication, analytical, facilitation and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to convey analysis into solution and translate business cases and story effectively to executive leadership. Must be capable of multitasking and communicating with a variety of people and personalities

  • Must be proficient in the use of computer software. Previous experience with MS Word and Excel is required. Previous experience with Looker/Tableau or SQL coding is useful but not required

  • Must be detail oriented and organized. Creative problem-solving and critical thinking is required. Excellent written, oral and formal presentation skills.
