Job Summary:

This position reports directly to the Intellectual Property Management (IPM) business, and works under the direct supervision of the IPM Director of Operations, and in close collaboration with members of IT and Business Operations disciplines within the company. The Business Analyst's primary objective is helping the business implement technology solutions in a cost-effective way by determining the requirements of a project or program, and communicating them clearly to stakeholders. This role requires a self-driven individual who can operate under general or minimal supervision, and perform duties with broad latitude for judgment.

Key Responsibilities: What are the main responsibilities of the job? Indicate which are primary (essential to the job) and which are secondary (not essential to the job).

  • Liaison between internal Business Groups and IT teams to improve systems and drive standards. This will be done through interviews of team members, customers and subject matter experts to elicit information in order to write use cases, document workflows, assumptions, business rules, and business requirements that arise from these interviews. Interpret and convey clear and concise requirements, verbally and in writing, between multiple teams. Facilitate monthly and ad-hoc meetings, as well as, assist with project management tasks related to team deliverables. Making recommendations on ways to further enhance the systems as business processes evolve.

  • Responsible for providing end-user support for all IPM applications. This includes: (1) learning and understanding business processes, (2) being the first point of escalation for hardware and software issues, (3) reporting issues using the appropriate channels, (4) recognizing application issues vs application enhancements

  • Coordinate and perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and post-deployment testing

  • Ensure compliance with Iron Mountain application policies and procedures

  • General administrative support

Functional Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to effectively conduct meetings and presentations.

  • Must demonstrate analytical and problem solving skills

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Experience in generating process documentation

  • Must be able to work in collaboration with varied work groups

  • Must demonstrate organizational skills

  • Negotiation and conflict management skills a plus

  • Technical writing experience a plus

  • Understanding of systems engineering concepts

  • Must have superior computer skills and a desire to learn new systems and business processes

  • Business analysis skills and experience required
