The Project Manager will be the primary customer liaison for all day-to-day activities, manage client projects and report needed directives to client. Create and maintain a high level of cooperation with all studio departments. Project Manager is responsible for planning and overseeing projects to ensure that they are completed in a timely fashion and within budget. Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, monitor, and summarize progress of project. Prepare reports for upper management regarding status of project.Responsible for the creation, organization, execution and completion of specific projects. This includes managing relevant employees, setting deadlines, communicating with company executives about the state of the project, ensuring projects stay on track and on budget, and adjusting if necessary to meet new requirements.
Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
Management of multiple digital products/accounts in several digital studios nationwide
Identify, plan, and coordinate subordinate project work teams, providing overall leadership and coordination for these teams from initiation through delivery
Manage and direct video operators/video editors for assigned projects
Digitizing and quality control of video and audio materials for archiving/delivery purposes (when needed)
Establish effective day to day internal and external communication across functions and departments to identify key project milestones and ensure that subordinate projects are completed by deadline
Reconcile physical project assets against production elements and deliverables to client approval. Basic CMS (Content Management System) experience wanted.
Functional Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies:
The Studio Project Manager position requires a minimum of 2 years direct multi-media, archiving, metadata (data entry), preservation and migration experience. MAC and PC proficiency and familiarity with software and hardware used to capture/digitize image, video, audio and store data.Lead and organize overall efforts supporting assigned projects to maintain focus, direction and effectiveness of project plans.
Other duties as followed:
Familiarity with rich media archive organization, inventory and tracking
Experience with secure electronic and physical file delivery
Familiarity with backup solutions: digital archiving to server and LTO
Strong multi-tasker with experience in organizing and managing multiple projects and priorities
Results oriented with strong attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
Self-motivation and effective time management: planning, organization and prioritization for the successful and timely completion of projects
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Demonstrates ability to learn new technologies
Ability to constructively collaborate in a results oriented team
