Director, DS Field Operations
The Director of DS Field Operations will be the subject matter expert on DS operational procedures and best practices in the overall re-engineering process to Optimize, Standardize and Industrialize the DS delivery model. The Director will be responsible for the planning and communication of the DS processes, capabilities and capacity in order to facilitate orderly ingestion of new business and ensure on time and efficient delivery of current business.
The Director will lead and/or support DS optimization initiatives and projects while providing leadership to and driving behaviors of DS Operations Managers through the Operational Excellence and Pay for Performance programs.
The Director will orchestrate cross-functional resources to establish, streamline and improve the systems and processes for managing daily DS Operations. As an extension of the Vice President, DS Operations, the Director shall provide direction for system and process development to enable our ability to meet Operational Excellence targets in a high quality, employee centric fashion.
The Director will brand him or herself as the DS Operational resource through which all departments across the US interact with DS Operational personnel and create a flow of information so that such interaction is efficient, scalable and timely.
The Director will collaborate with decision-makers/business leaders to manage expectations and create synergy and efficiencies across NA. The Director will provide strong leadership and technical support to team members and local management. In addition, where needed will coach local management to improve their problem solving skills, leadership abilities and team performance.
The Director will act as an extension of the Vice President of DS Operations in the capacity that she/he will build partnerships across Field Operations, Operations Support and Business Line Leadership and Customer Facing Organizations that enable effective execution within NA.
Executes on other assignments as directed by the Vice President of DS operations.
Ability to apply decisions, and to think in broad terms, considering the impact of decisions across the entire company and Customers.
Ability to interact effectively at all levels within the Iron Mountain Enterprise and Customer Organizations leading & managing through influence and earned respect.
Excellent written, oral and formal presentation skills.
Demonstrated success in technology aided business process re-engineering, ability to produce enduring, effective solutions to business problems; benchmarking, project management, strong analytical problem solving skills, and action-oriented with the ability to deliver timely and positive results.
