Managing Director, Crozier UK
The Managing Director, Crozier UK is a transformational and high impact leader, who is responsible for driving significant growth. Reporting directly to the MD Europe & Asia, this role drives organic growth. The GM, Crozier UK will drive change by building a best-in-class business development and client solutions organization, and driving operational excellence and building and managing high performing, industry leading teams.
The successful incumbent will be the business owner of the market and have responsibility for driving revenue management, operational excellence and customer satisfaction. She/he will partner with other functions to coordinate strategic selling efforts for the market.
The MD, Crozier UK must be comfortable with ambiguity and able to work in a rapidly evolving world as it adapts to current market trends, technology shifts, competitive dynamics and a business with an increasingly global scope.
This leadership role will manage the sales, marketing, project management and solutions portfolio as well as the operations and P&L results for the business. She/he will also work closely with the Growth Office and other regional leaders to establish a multi-year strategy for the business. Iron Mountain expects to continue to grow and expand the Crozier UK business, while leveraging the company’s reach, capabilities and real estate assets, and the ideal candidate will provide strong leadership, vision, and direction in positioning the business to realise its full future potential. A well-qualified candidate is expected to manage and lead this mid-size business as it develops a broader customer “footprint” over the coming years.
Developing Crozier’s UK presence requires a deep understanding of the industry, the trends impacting it and client requirements for services, storage and effective execution. Keys to success in this role are the ability to:
Think strategically and “connect the dots” across business goals, industry trends, unmet market needs, customer perceptions, new capabilities, and existing resources/capabilities
Develop a growth strategy across existing market segments serviced by Crozier as well as leveraging existing customer relationships within Iron Mountain’s core businesses, and focus on cross-sell and upsell
Develop the next generation strategic roadmap that leads to new sources of sustainable growth and revenue to bolster Crozier’s current portfolio
Drive and own results through outstanding leadership and internal and external partnerships
This role will report to the MD Europe & Asia
Key Responsibilities
Strategy: Develop Crozier Strategy and Execution Plan
Develop and drive the growth strategy for the business in the regions
Prioritise growth strategy based on opportunity, return-on-investment, resource availability and time to market attributes
Assess and determine product adjacencies within Iron Mountain business lines to execute in market -- based on market potential, maturity and ability to deliver value considering product mix and messages
Cultivate appropriate awareness among key internal stakeholders while working with externally facing resources to align to outside stakeholders (e.g., clients and industry influencers)
Enhance brand reputation, while extending credibility as a thought leader and evangelist in the broader Fine Arts arena.
Innovation: Foster and Lead Innovation that Drives Growth
With input from client facing teams, evaluate and execute Crozier’s product strategy and roadmap including actionable "build, partner or buy" options (with appropriate integration strategy for partners and/or acquisitions) to maximize business opportunities
Refine and drive practical market based, client-centric operating plans using all commercial levers at disposal
Commercial: Drive Field Engagement and Marketplace Execution
The role will collaborate closely with the Growth Office, regional sales leaders, and local market GMs to drive commercial growth
Drive performance management across sales and project management teams to deliver best in class service for customers
Own pricing decisions for Crozier UK; leverage Iron Mountain/ GMO Revenue Management and Finance organizations to align on strategy, financial models and execution plans
Assess and enable development of appropriate delivery and operational capabilities
Manage UK leadership team to drive growth, continuous improvement and operational excellence across the business. Align team to define and measure the desired customer value proposition with appropriate metrics to drive sustainable improvement.
Effectively and consistently communicate strategic direction to ensure consistent understanding of goals, objectives and expectations across the company
Lead direct team to clarify and highlight shared accountabilities to ensure appropriate prioritization and rapid action / progress / results; accountable for P&L results
Serve as a strong cultural agent, ensuring that Crozier’s unique ethos is nurtured and continuously developed
Work with direct team to identify efficiencies and maximize opportunities
Organization: Talent Development
Lead in the areas of coaching, personnel development and performance management as well as the related management responsibilities of staffing, work assignment, planning, and communications
Function effectively across 360 degree spectrum (i.e., managing effectively upward, with peers and direct reports)
Build capabilities by cultivating a pipeline of external and internal talent to continually enrich and elevate team skills / experience / diversity with a focus on succession planning for direct reports
Provide inspirational leadership, winning appropriate mindshare, alignment and support towards delivering business vision and opportunities
