The Infrastructure Information Manager is part of the IMDC Global Operational Standards team and is primarily responsible for ensuring end to end process alignment of all power based Product Catalog items, both fixed and or usage based.
This role will include driving elimination of associated revenue leakage in a global organization, ensuring processes consist of proper identification of customer requirements (power measurement, accurate measurement of usage, proper data collection, validation) and dissemination of power data outputs to the billing team for accurate and timely invoicing.
The role will also provide quality assurance of the end to end process, lead efforts in process documentation in accordance with IMDC’s Procedure Management for power based derivative collection processes and work with Global Operational Standards, Operations, DCMS/BMS, Service Management, Salesforce, Product Development, CSM and other teams on current power billing /enablement initiatives providing quality assurance as required.
This position will partner with key stakeholders across all departments and functional teams globally.
Review end to end workflow and data flow for collection and distribution of power usage data both from a business process and systems platforms data flow perspective
Conduct quality review / validation activities (whether through ongoing sampling or otherwise) of all process steps of power usage data leveraged for billing (up to the input to Accounting)
Work closely with site operations owners who are responsible for power usage data quality and review
Facilitate/participate in automation initiatives targeted at reducing manual burden in power data collection efforts and increasing the accuracy of data
Identify issues in process, execution, and data flow, and champion needed changes, working with Global Operational Standards, Data Center Operations, SFDC, Service Mgmt, Data Enablement, DCMS/BMS, A2C, and other stakeholders
Track and report out process adherence, quality, issues, leakage identified, etc.
Act as the project focal point for power usage data process items as it relates to the A2C billing support transition
Lead strategic initiatives and collaborate directly with operations directors, managers and senior function leadership to coordinate uniform operational strategies, processes and standards. Facilitate/participate in other strategic initiatives/projects as assigned.
Key Skills, Requirements and Competencies:
Four year degree in related discipline or equivalent combination of technical training and experience. (ME, Industrial, IT, Military)
5+ years Data Center Industry experience
Extensive Data Center Operations experience with and understanding of data center power elements and calculations (e.g., amps, volts, kW, kWh, PUE, etc.)
Familiarity with DCIM/BMS/EPMS systems, instrumentation, electrical/mechanical distribution systems and nomenclature
Strong data and data flow skills
Ability to analyze problems, propose solutions, and drive issues to resolution.
Results oriented, willing to take responsibility and accept accountability for action.
Process execution, development, and enhancement experience and mindset
Ability to travel globally as needed 10%+. Don’t have to be on site (Other sites).
