This role is a key member of the Enterprise Business Process Improvement team that will use the Global Business Services (GBS) platform to identify and execute improvements across the Iron Mountain enterprise. The main focus of this role is to identify and execute a portfolio of improvement projects using structured problem solving, lean and six sigma methodologies (DMAIC), Agile and other improvement methods such that these projects shall realize tangible and measurable results for the business in the form of cost savings, customer experience improvement, process simplification and/or process quality improvements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify and create mechanisms to collect data on key issues affecting GBS processes from CX,

  • GBS Leadership priorities, non-compliances from Audits, internal systemic issues and best practices.

  • Establish a portfolio of projects for improvement initiatives with clearly identified ROI’s and/or cost savings that are aligned with business KPI’s.

  • Establish criteria to prioritize these improvement initiatives and get buy-ins from key stakeholders

  • Execute improvement projects leveraging key tools such as Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, statistical process control, and root cause analysis/structured problem solving and realize the ROI and/or cost savings.

  • Execute cross-functional workouts to realize the improvements.

  • Collaborate with Global Process Owners on the above responsibilities to help drive improvements around GBS critical processes

  • Standardize the improvements via QMS and Control Plans so they are sustained

  • Train and coach key stakeholders to ensure the follow up actions are taken to sustain the improvements

  • Report the improvements to GBS’s leadership team

  • Develop a dashboard/system for awareness and transparency on improvement projects across GBS and Iron Mountain.

  • Conduct Internal Audits per the business needs

CANDIDATE EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Engineering

  • Six Sigma Green Belt Certification or equivalent experience

  • Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt certification or equivalent experience preferred

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE

  • 6 to 12 years of experience leading and executing Six Sigma and/or lean projects

  • Experience working with data and a fact based approach

  • Ability to use structured problem solving

  • Work across multiple functions collaboratively to meet desired objectives

  • Ability to lead and facilitate cross-functional activities

  • Ability to do data analytics and drive insights

  • Ability to prioritize and use judgement

  • Flexibility to take on a wide range of initiatives and manage multiple projects

  • Demonstrated project management skills and experience leading complex projects

  • Ability to simplify complex information to communicate to various audiences

  • Strong written/verbal communications and ability to communicate at all levels in the organization

  • Finance and IT Industry experience a plus

  • Internal Auditing experience a plus
