The Technical Director’s (TD) primary focus will be in the following three areas: Capabilities Roadmap development and execution, System (application/tool) Certification and Compliance, and Information Security System Certification and Compliance (FISMA/FedRAMP).

The TD works to implement new technology into the workplace and develop our Iron Mountain capabilities for our customers. This role collaborates with leadership and sales teams to identify the best options for achieving goals with the continued development of existing and new technical capabilities. This requires flexibility in managing different Business, IT/IS, Compliance and Regulatory priorities - excellent documentation, planning and communication abilities.

  • Develop capabilities roadmap tied to government customer and pipeline requirements

  • Collaborate with IT and Product Managers to drive execution of roadmap

  • Drive all certifications on systems/tools; streamline processes for fast cycle audits and final certifications

  • Review RFP IT security requirements and assist with proposal responses and compliance matrix

  • Assist sales team with customer presentations and meetings

  • Manage IT Security and Information System Security Manager (ISSM) priorities

  • FISMA/NIST compliance managing Federal Agency deliverables and CMMC certification

  • Manage CMMC certification process and documentation to Level 3

  • Periodically meet with stakeholders and project leaders to discuss the effectiveness of current technical processes and brainstorm ways to optimize efficiency

Key Skills, Qualifications, and Competencies: :

  • Active TS clearance and ability to maintain clearance.

  • Experience with IT Security certification and knowledge of FISMA, FedRAMP, DoD 5015.2 and CMMC certification processes and documentation.

  • Knowledge of NIST SP 800 series specifically 800-53 Cyber Security Framework and 800-171 Protecting Controlled Unclassified Information in Nonfederal Systems and Organizations.

  • Active experience working ATO processes with Federal Government agencies

  • Experience with Cloud technologies including GCP, AWS, Azure, etc. a plus

  • Previous experience implementing a cloud based application

  • Knowledge of many competitors ERMS/ CSP offerings; experience implementing a large scale ERMS/ CSP

  • Implementation of an AI and/or RPA tool set for a customer

  • 15+ years technical experience, with a minimum of 10 years IT/Technical engagement with US Federal government

  • Agile development skills plus

  • Strong writing ability. Must be able to generate effective content that resonates with the Federal government

  • Collaborate with peers and independently multi-task, prioritize, meet aggressive deadlines, and communicate effectively with other departments

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Internal relationships will span the organization in both seniority (C-Level to staff) and business functions.

  • Creative thinking, critical analysis, and problem-solving skills, along with flexibility/adaptability are essential.

  • Bachelors’ degree in Information Systems or related field

  • CISSP is a plus
